Newtech Hardware
brand development, digital marketing and website build
In late 2010, Noble Ox was commissioned by Newtech Hardware a leading UK supplier of architectural shelving systems. Operating in a highly competitive B2B market place, Newtech lacked clear brand definition and differentiation so the first step was the brand review and development. This essential exercise helped pave the way for devising the overall marketing approach.
The main focus for Newtech’s future marketing activity was online, with the development of a digital marketing approach to include website build, launch and ongoing online communications. For Noble Ox, devising a comprehensive keyword and SEO strategy was a priority given the competitive nature of the industry. The client was keen to retain the existing logo so the Noble Ox brief was to substantiate this with a strong, product-led visual impact to attract busy potential customers whilst ensuring an accessible, intuitive architecture to engage.

Launched in March 2011, the new website succeeded in raising Newtech’s presentation and profile head and shoulders above the competition. To support the launch Noble Ox devised and delivered an online marketing programme which included a series of targeted email newsletter campaigns, raising profile and generating traffic. Within two weeks of launch, Newtech was enjoying a sharp increase in interest and enquiries from its existing customer base, many of whom were keen to widen their Newtech product range. In addition, there was an increase in general enquiries from those searching on line with product-led keyword searches.
The new website is highly automated, giving the client the opportunity to add and edit content easily and confidently. Newtech Head of Sales, David Hart, is absolutely delighted with ‘his new toy’. With such a tight budget, he hadn’t thought it would be possible to have a slick, sophisticated website with features such as email sign up and newsletter tool, product search and online order enquiry process.
